Breast Reconstruction (Tissue Expansion) Case 26

Gender
Female

Description

This patient underwent bilateral mastectomy for breast cancer and staged reconstruction with a tissue expander, ADM, and bilateral de-epithelialized flaps.

I have developed a unique solution to help women with sagging, larger breasts who must have a mastectomy.  Typically, these women have the poorest cosmetic outcomes with a traditional mastectomy due to saggy excess skin.   My approach uses vertical and horizontal inframammary incisions to shape the new breast as a breast lift would.

She is shown with expander’s right after the mastectomy, and again after the nipple reconstruction and shape refinement.  A great result.
