Facial Fat Grafting in NJ

Fat grafting, also known as fat transfers or fat injections, is the process of removing excess, harvested fat from one area of the body and transferring it to another area of the body where it may be useful. Volume is an essential component of a youthful face. As we age, the volume in our face diminishes, leaving hollows and voids, which accelerates aging. Taking fat from other areas, processing it, and re-injecting small amounts into areas of the face (lid cheek junction, temples, nasolabial folds, lips, jawline, and marionette or puppet lines) offers a permanent solution to reversing the signs of aging. The applications are limitless, resulting in a smoother appearance!

Good-Candidate

Facial Fat Grafting Candidates

Good candidates for a facial fat transfer are those who are experiencing mild to severe volume loss, loose and sagging skin, deep lines and grooves, scars or depressions, and hollow or sunken areas in their faces. Ideal candidates should also be physically healthy, have no underlying medical conditions that can impact healing, and have realistic expectations for the outcome of the procedure.

How to Prepare for a Facial Fat Transfer

To prepare for surgery, you may need to get lab testing, stop smoking, take certain medications, and avoid taking over-the-counter drugs that may increase bleeding or bruising. You should also arrange for someone to drive you to and from the procedure as a safety precaution.
During-surgery

Facial Fat Grafting in NJ

I have a special fat grafting method, which I have refined to assure my patients the highest rate of successful facial fat grafting. This protocol involves gentle aspiration, gentle filtration, sterile handling, and rapid reinsertion. During the procedure, I use liposuction to withdraw fat from areas of the body, such as the thighs, abdomen, and hips. Once the fat is purified, it is reinserted into the targeted areas of your face in small droplets using special needles and cannulas. With my specialized technique and artistic approach, I will restore lost volume to your face and enhance your overall appearance.
Recovery-time

Facial Fat Grafting Recovery

Most patients can resume normal activity as quickly as the same day of surgery. Patients who had a higher volume of fat transferred may require a brief recovery period of up to a few weeks. Swelling, bruising, or redness in both the donor and recipient areas are common side effects of the procedure. Please avoid sun exposure for about 48 hours until the bruising and swelling subside. A few months after your procedure, most of the fat injected into your face survives, making your face appear fuller!
