Fillers and Injectables Guide
1
The transverse lines of the forehead are best treated by Botox (a neurotoxin modulator) that eliminates the lines by blocking the response to wrinkle. Additionally, surgical brow lift can eliminate these lines.
2
The “11’s” (the corrugator muscles). This area is best treated by Botox. Additionally, very deep lines here may be treated by hyaluronic acid fillers (Juvaderm or Restylane), or surgical removal during brow lift.
3
The glabella region is best treated by Botox injections or surgical removal of lines in browlift.
4
The temples (hollowness as a sign of aging), can be treated by fat grafting (a surgical procedure) or in office fillers (Juvaderm or Restylane)
5
Brow arching can be achieved using Botox or elevated by surgical brow lift.
6
Crow’s feet are best treated by Botox.
7
Lid cheek junction hollow can be treated by hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvaderm or Restylane, or combination surgical lower lid blepharoplasty and cheek lift.
8
Volume enhancement of the cheek can be done by filler injection or fat grafting (a surgical technique).
9
Nasolabial folds can be diminished by filler injection (Juvaderm or Restylane) or by facelift and fat grafting
10
Lip lines can be treated by either botox, fillers, or chemical peels (phenol).
11
Lip augmentation can be achieved with fillers (Juvaderm or Restylane) or surgical fat grafting to lip lines.
12
Corners of mouth are best treated using fillers (Juvaderm or Restylane).
13
Marionette (puppet lines) can be treated using fillers (Juvaderm or Restylane) or surgical fat grafting and facelift.
14
Jowl line volume loss is best treated by either filler injection or surgical fat grafting during facelift.
15
Jowl prominence can only be treated by SMAS composite face lifting.
16
Neck bands are best treated by surgical neck lift but may be temporarily decreased with botox.
17
Chemical peels improve skin quality by increasing cellular turn-over. The acids in the peels help stimulate collagen production to improve the look of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars.
18
Medical grade and prescription strength skincare products along with in-office chemical peels can drastically improve hyperpigmentation, sun damage and increase cellular turn-over.

Filler injections are used to fill deep lines, voids, hollows, volume loss, and contour issues in the face. The most common areas of the face to receive these fillers are deep lines between the eyebrows, the lid cheek junction, nasolabial folds, lips (for lines or volume enhancement), corners of the mouth, marionette triangle, jawlines, temple hollows, and the nose.

There are many types of filler injections, including Hyaluronic acid-based products such as Juvederm, Volbella, Vollure, and Voluma. HA fillers last between six months and two years, depending on the location of the injection. Certain areas of the face tend to “hold onto” filler products longer.
