What to Expect During Your Consultation
During your fat grafting breast augmentation consultation, I will talk with you about your goals for the procedure and review your medical history with you, including medications, drug allergies, previous surgeries, and health conditions. My team and I will evaluate your breasts and create a customized plan that details how you want your breasts to look and where to harvest the fat from your body. I will examine the areas of the body that will best contribute to the fat transfer, including your outer thighs, inner thighs, abdomen, and hips. I will explain the expected surgical outcome, discuss potential risks and complications, and answer any questions you may have.
How to Prepare for Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation
As preparation for your fat transfer breast augmentation, I will advise you to temporarily stop taking certain medications and avoid aspirin or herbal supplements that may cause an increase in bleeding. If you smoke, vape, or use any nicotine, cannabinoid, and/or ADHD medication, you must be willing to stop for several weeks before and after your surgery. You will also need to arrange for someone to take you to and from our surgical center, as you will not be able to drive after the procedure.
Fat Grafting Breast Augmentation in NJ at Spiro Plastic Surgery
I perform fat grafting breast augmentation using general anesthesia at an outpatient surgical center in New Jersey. The procedure typically takes two to three hours, depending on how much fat I need to harvest and transfer to your breasts. Using liposuction, I extract fat from the part of your body that needs slimming and contouring. Then, I process the harvested fat, carefully purifying it to preserve the stem cells. Finally, I carefully inject the purified fat into the breast tissue to create volume, fullness, and symmetry while improving breast shape.
Fat Grafting Breast Augmentation Recovery
After fat grafting breast augmentation, you will be recovering from two procedures: liposuction and breast augmentation. You can expect some soreness, tenderness, swelling, and bruising in your breasts and in the areas treated with liposuction. The initial discomfort typically lasts for one to three days. Swelling and bruising will gradually subside over several weeks. To achieve the best outcomes, you will have to wear elastic bandages or compression garments to reduce your swelling and help shape your new body contours. I will continue to monitor you during your recovery and will advise you on when you can resume your normal activities. Most of our patients can return to work within a few days. You will start to see full and natural results six months after the procedure, revealing better proportions and a more attractive silhouette!
