Another significant challenge is when a cancer is located near the original nipple areola. Thinking “outside the box” allows for an immediate reconstruction combined with lumpectomy by performing a unilateral free nipple graft on the cancer side, reshaping and lifting the breast and replacing the nipple. Shown after radiation, it is a fine outcome to a challenging case.
